Adi Sankara Training College

Adi Sankara Training College, named after the great Philosopher Sri. Adi Sankaracharya – a radiant figure, the rays of whose stupendous activities enlightened the whole world, has been established during the year 2005-06 at his birthplace, Kalady, with the benign blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri.Sri. Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamigal of Sree Sarada Peetham, Sringeri, Karnataka. This institute keeps a mission to mould the future teachers of our country with strong base on Philosophy, Psychology and to create wareness on many innovative teaching methods and technology. Our College is emerging as a center of excellence in education in the state.

With great pride and heartiest delight, I welcome you to Adi Sankara Training College, Kalady. Teachers have the primary place in an enlightened civilization, because true culture is founded, not on the engineers and technicians, but on the educators. We consider education as a cultural tool for the liberation of the oppressed and thus it is a joyous service to us. Established in 2005, Adi Sankara Training College enjoys an honored position in the educational quarter of Kerala. Our motto is to provide quality education to the needy and we have been striving for this goal right form the inception. We not only concentrate on training the prospective teachers but also try to inculcate social values, good manners, conduct, and desirable habits as part of a conviction that education is a process of socialization, which stays with a person for life. In keeping with the changing approach of modern education, we emphasize on training the teachers through field experimentation and practical application. Eclecticism of the present age has made our educational aim comprehensive and synthetic. We strive in right earnest to substantiate the concept and vision of building up such an institution. The intellectual pursuit synchronizes to multi-facet scholastic, co-scholastic, cultural and athletic activities, and seminars. The process of education is continuous and lifelong. We organize such activities as are compatible with the needs and requirement of the rapidly growing realm of education essential for the professional growth of the prospective teachers. We give due importance to the role of a teacher in nation building task, therefore, it aims at producing quality teachers who will make positive contribution to the society and the nation at large. Continuous improvement and development are our motto. The college emphasizes to create quality educators for educating the emerging generations. The heart of education in our college is the education of the heart.
